OK

Wifey's ickle old ipod is advancing in years

I bought her a new one from a very nice man on this site.

Now..........

I have iTunes on this 'ere PC which I do not wish to contaminate with her old 1960s dross (ouch!) so the question is simples:

I wish to remove the muzak (ouch again) from ickle old iPod, store it somewhere and then shove it on to her nice shiny new one without losing the original stuff, and not adding it to my itunes.

How do I do that ?

And should I just install one of the many other music library programmes one this PC and have her iPods only to sync with that one?

Problemo number 2

I've downloaded Media Monkey, and connected wifey's ickle iPod,

Now it tells me it needs to be formatted to use windows.

I think this is a "bad thing" and all the shyte 1960's pap will be vapourised for ever. This means I will be badly injured and off work for weeks.

Am I correct in this assumption? And does this mean I have to spend money ressurrecting my not-very-well iMac?

Yours hopefully

First you need the Ipod rescue program (search on here)

Then Media monkey

Get that muzak off

....you could download this .....
http://www.poddox.com/

....... set up a folder on your desk top . Open Poddox , connect the I pod and all the tracks will be shown - you then have the option to copy them all to a place of your choice .

It's easy - it must be if a pc numpty like me can do it .

Hope this helps

Steve
