It's one of these threads: EXPLAIN IT TO ME LIKE I'M 5 YEARS OLD.
I've been with AA a number of years, 14 apparently. A couple of years ago I downgraded my cover to the standard UK one: UK Personal & Vehicle Breakdown Cover.
I was checking the renewal letter and it includes what's in the title of this thread:
You'll keep all the benefits that come with it, including your extra Gold ones – like free 24/7 legal assistance, 2 days of free European Breakdown Cover up to 3 times a year, and up to £1,500 of cover for lost or stolen keys.

Maybe some people in here are a bit more versed in this, so the question.
What does the "2 days of free cover" mean?

I'm trying to understand if, say I'm on a usual one or two week trip in Europe and the bike needs to be put on a truck to be taken to a nearby dealer/mechanic, if that would be kosher. I'd be ok with that.
I don't care about flat tyres and that stuff...

Reason I'm asking here before speaking to them is that I want to avoid being upsold by their agent.

This year I assumed I had road cover via my bank, but just travel insurance (that I also get via work).

Thanks for any help/clarification.

I fell for this .... I have full UK cover with the AA with a promise of two days free continental cover.
Indeed you do, but you have to take a full European policy out to claim them :blast

:beerjug:

Ok. Thanks for clarifying.

I will keep the UK cover because operating a 24 years old DRZ and a 17 year GS.... 100 quid a year seems a decent token for any roadside assistance if shit happens.
I've used them a couple of times in the last 6 years or so.

So, I'll consider myself "sans" cover when abroad.
