AAAARGHHHHHH HELP

Going to south of France on Thursday , so thought I'd buy the latest Western Europe maps for my Tom Tom One .
Did so , then tried to install , but discovered I need an SD card as there isn't enough internal memory on the device .
Did that , put the sd card in the TT, then tried to copy the new maps .it got nealry all the way through then came up with an error message :

The SD card has files on it , but the TT says no maps found - tried a restore , and it came up with an error so now we can't get any maps on it .......can anyone help please ???

Michelin do a very good map, you don`t get that shit when you turn a page

Are you copying the data with the card in the TomTom? I've had similar problems which were solved by using a memory card reader to transfer the data to the SD card.
