As per my previous response, your daughters IP address starting with 169 signifies that her pc has not been assigned an IP address by the router (set as a dhcp server)
try opening a command prompt window and typing the following:
ipconfig this will show the current ip address again... then
if it is still showing as starting with 169 type:
ipconfig /release followed by ipconfig /renew
leave it for a minute then retype ipconfig and see if the ip address now starts with 192.
Let me know how you get on with this, or if you've already solved the problem.
