ABS letter

Had a letter through the post over the Christmas period from BM providing me with an ABS related insert for my manual (05 ADV). I could only bring myself to scan read this as it was the dullest thing imaginable. It was burbling on about strain on the battery and subsequent incorrect ABS function on bikes when people were undertaking lots of slow riding or, more importantly probably, infrequent riding. The letter that accompanied this insert invited me to take the bike in for a free ABS check before the end of Feb.

Question therefore. Has anyone else had one of these and should I really be bothering? What do you reckon? Infrequent riding definitely applies to me but I use an optimate so the battery is always tip top.

Any thoughts?

This letter may (or may not) be as a result of someone I know binning their nice new 12RT in a demonstration to others what ABS can do. IT DIDN'T

I got one aswell Rich mines a 52 plate ADV my servo packed in last summer and was replaced free out of warranty so no real need .Keep mine on an optimate too probably take mine in for a check though, only because there's a nice young lady working in the parts dept
