Hello everyone

A quick question about ABS and rubbish batteries on an 1150adv, 2002.

I bought a battery in Cambodia $30 and I think it's causing the problems with the ABS. The problem is that they used to have the well-known problem of starting the bike and the ABS not a little initialising.

This problem has now manifested itself to having an ABS problem before I turn over the bike so the ABS lights are now flicking off and on independently of each other.

So can a low rubbish battery be the cause of this problem before you start the bike?

As I said I definitely have a kaka battery because when I start the bike often the clock resets itself and you can see the lights dimming.

Bearing in mind have just written 3000 km from Denmark to England and back again you would think that the battery would be okay at this point.

The alternater is working fine as this was checked recently.

Thanks of the help guys

Brian

So why don`t you fit a new battery and then see if you have any problems ?? :rob

Thanks that worked

Marvelous - I'm a happy clappy chappy now. ABS lights flashing together. I cant tell you how relieved I am.

Still need to get that new battery though.

Cheers again Neil / Tarka
