Hi Folks

I have a GS 1100 95 which I am slowly restoring up to better nick

than was purchased.

I have a problem now trying to extract the five; three mm allen bolts which hold

the ABS ring on the back wheel, I have tried to free them but they are stuck

fast, any tips for extrction ?

Many thanks Mack...

get a drimel and cut a slot in deep enough for a screwdriver, you might want to heat up the bolt before you try to extract it, and use plenty of WD40

Hi terayon,

Many thanks and good idea !! I did heat it up with hair dryer and give

it a whack with hinge extractor but to no avail, but that sounds a good idea.

The problem now have to borrow a dremel :thumb2

Many thanks Mack...

Hair dryer won't provide enough heat, do you have access to an electric paint stripper gun, they are the best. Heat, spray with wd40, leave 10 mins and repeat then try turning, don't force it to much or you might snap the head off. If it's stuborn, keep heating and spraying.

Hi terayon,

Well no I don't have access to an electric paint stripper gun; but

I will ask a favour or two and see if I can borrow one.

I suppose 11 yrs of use have taken its toll so perceverance is the game and

your good advice.

Many thanks Mack.....
