We are thinking of staying in Saint Jean de Luz (or nearby on the coast) next summer May/June. There will be 4 - 6 adults and a toddler. Anyone stayed near here or can recommend a nice place ? The missus wants somewhere on the coast. We'd prefer to have self catering really as we have the little one. So we are looking at a town house or villa within walking distance to the beach etc... really. Plan is to get the ferry to Bilbao or Santander then drive up. If you know anywhere else near there that is nice then that would be great too. Basically we want to get the ferry in, then drive to the place on the same day.

sorry but I went there 40 years ago (as a kiddie obviously) never heard about the place since - now its here and on the news every other day - dirty beaches or sea.
