Just got myself a F800gs and was wondering if anyone has used a Accumate charger with the cabus system using the socket next to the key ?

Simple answer... you can't!
The socket does not remain live for more than a few mins!!
Fit a socket direct to the battery, this will also give you a constant live socket (if you need one?). I fitted an Optimate socket tail to get round this problem.
