I'm having problems adding Firefox to Zone Alarm. The process I've followed is:

To add a program to the programs list:

Select Program Control-Programs, then click Add.
The Add Program dialog appears.

Locate the program you want to add, then click Open.

This is lifted directly from the Zone Alarm help file and I've followed it to the letter but no joy. Firefox doesn't even get added to the program list. The only way I can get Firefox to work is to reduce the "program control" slidebar from "Medium" to "Off" which is not an option I want to take.

I've heard good things of Firefox from various sources and really want to give it a try.

Apologies if I'm being a numpty :blast

You shouldn't need to manually add anything.....

Normally, you'd just install Firefox then double click the icon to start it......Zonealarm will pop up a box saying 'Firefox.exe is trying to access the internet' (or something very similar) and an 'allow' or 'deny' button......plus a tick box to 'always allow' which you should obviously tick.

Once you've told ZA to allow it and not ask again, Firefox should open up normally and will be automatically added to the list.

You'll get the occasional pop up box asking the above again from time to time as Firefox gets updated, but just repeat the process.

I aqgree but that hasn't been the case. Looks like the best bet is to reinstall Firefox.

Thanks

Zone Alarm

Fanum is correct but you may of accidentally blocked it when you got the first pop up as you to allow or block it. I am not a huge expert on ZoneAlarm but you will find a block list or allowed list , or similar, some where. Check the blocked list for firefox and delete/remove it and next time it starts follow Fanum instructions
