I am looking for quite some time now, for an additional led tail light(s) for my 2011 GSAdv...

My idea is to make the bike a little more visible under bad weather and also give it an additional brake light.

Any suggestions regarding good price/quality ratio items?

BMW sells this original part in the US, but for Europe i was told that there is no similar product:
BMW PART 63 00 0 445 578

Thx.

I've been intersted in an auxilliary tail light aswell and Touratech make one that fits to the HP2E with a small bracket(I think it's around £80)

I'm not sure if it'll connect to the 1200GS LED rearlight though but you could wire it seperately I suppose with it's own switch.

FP.

I bought a LED tail light strip of eBay. I think I paid £12 for it just attached to my topbox and bingo can swop it between my bikes too.
Item number 3903636977406
Brilliant visibility :thumb

Hyperlites

Get the 16 LED, get 3 side mount modules, 1 on each side of the plate, 1 on the bottom, cut the green wire for 5 second flashing then goes steady.

Directions are great, service is great, price is more than reasonable.

Very expensive and the flashing function is illegal in UK.

About $100 US or $65 GBP

Non flashing also but there are less epensive alternatives so I get it.

Ride safely

terryofperry,

thx for the info.

Btw, is the wiring / assembly easy to do for an no-knowledge in electric wiring, or should i rely on an expert to do it?

wiring...

Thx all for your suggestions and info.

But i have to ask you all the same i asked terryofperry:

is the wiring easy to do or recommended for professionals only?

´Cause buying an Led Strip is easy (just an internet connection and some €€€ :D), but installing it...

Thx again.
