What are my options for getting an adjustable gear lever - are there any 3rd party ones?

I was going to cut it in half and add a sleeve to it with a few bolts - bad idea?

mmm not seen an adjustable on specifically for the f650gs.
are you just trying to shorten it?

colt - I want to make it longer - I put on the adjustable footpegs from TT - but now my size 12's are too close to the lever. I wouldn't mind bending it out from the bike a bit too.

Spout - Would the G 650 X one fit the Dakar?

I had a similar issue on my RT after I lowered the pegs to get the legroom I was used to on the GS. On the RT (and I assume all 1200s) you can remove the gear lever and rotate it a few splines to move the lever closer to/ further from your foot. Might be worth considering before shelling for a new shiny bit?

hi, did you ever sort this out with one one i sent you?
would be interested to hear how you got on.:jibber

Hi Colt - I beat your one back into perfect shape - easier than I thought with a bit of heat.
I have a load of small jobs put aside for a welder so I've bought one of the Draper arc welders and I'm learning the ropes myself - only working on scrap now and making a balls of that
I was thinking about what to do exactly and have gone off the adjustable idea - I only want it right for me so I'll only add the length I need.
