Has anyone got a Touratech seat extension, need to know if they are any good.I have ordered a new ADV today with low seat and it doesn't look like her in doors will be to comfy on the back.

New Adv

Congratulations mate,;)
See how much 'er indoors complains about the seat without the touratech seat extn first-then buy the extn piece as a gesture of your concern for her comfort:D
Don't think it'll make a lot of difference though!

What's the spec on the new bike-and where did you buy it?

Hi Steve

Phoned Dennis at Rydales today they got one coming in around may time, mine will be 12 months old then with about 20k on the clock.

Black(just to keep Mat happy)
Abs
Grips
AVD bars
Big tank
Low seat
White lenses
Also going to ask them to fit:
Touratech hand guards
Touratech sump ext
And any thing else I can think off.

Yep, got one, and my girlfriend tested the seat+extension last summer on a 4 week 8000km hollidaytrip, on which we had some 10+hour riding days.. In her opinion it was
comfortable, and the extension itself made her sit more straightup
then the previous 1150 seat...
So it works great, but if you want to put some decent size ortlieb-bag on the rack, you'll need the rackextension as well

I've got one Andy, and it does work.
Not for me but my wife likes it :D

It is a tight fit though. If it is in place, it's a pain to remove and fit your seat.

Whether you need it or not depends on your partner's sitting position and size of course. Try the standard setup first I'd say, fitting the extension is a breeze.

Cheers,
Michel
