Adv tank - the missing link

I decided to fit a set of Hyperpro springs to the Adventure today, the rear was a doddle, the front was a bit of a pig cos it was fiddly to get out and I didn't have a spring compressor that fitted.

Anyway on putting the tank back on I noticed a cut out in the tank with 2 brass nut inserts in the tank which looks like it is a space for a toll roll or something similar

Anyone know what is designed to fit here?
