Old school leathers and waterproofs. I did wire in the heated waistcoat, thankfully.As there's no unnecessary tat bolted on to it I'd say no even if you were wearing a twat suit, plus of course unless you're boxerlost it's got the wrong size wheels on it too.
That’s cool! I think I can see why he’s broken his hugger.

Years ago met an elderly gentleman in Dover waiting for the crossing, he converted a Blade for touring. High tubular bars and GIVI panniers, all custom made. He was on his way to the South of France. Asked why not get a touring bike? He said: I like the Blade.She can carry camping kit for a weekend, and at one point I rode through floodwater flowing across a broken up, potholed lane. That makes her an adventure bike, doesn’t it?

Years ago, I rode mine to the Alps with the luggage shown in the photo, sans tent. Comfortable enough on the autoroutes, and fun in the twisties when we arrived. 21 years after I bought her, she's still got it - I can't see me selling her.Years ago met an elderly gentleman in Dover waiting for the crossing, he converted a Blade for touring. When you realise how light ; nimble; and well suspended bikes of that era are; it's a wonder why more old gits are'nt putting flat bars and lowering the pegs then getting off on an adventure.Years ago met an elderly gentleman in Dover waiting for the crossing, he converted a Blade for touring. I omitted that Mrs. Blackblade was also on the back for that trip to Skye.(I've now got a GS as well, for when the Boss wants to come along)
My mate and his lad still use Gsx'r's to travel Europe; one 1000; one 750 srad;; i had a zx 9 airborne of a crest one afternoon at a speed i aint going to mention; i was on a test ride thinking about swopping the ZZR 11 for one;; the Mrs wer'nt having any of it tho even tho it was quite comfy for her;Early sports bikes were great for European touring, it was only after they got a bit more radical that you lost that degree of comfort and entered the World of wheelies over every bump that a lot of riders moved away from them.
I did quite a few European trips plus about four fortnights on the Isle of Man on a ZX9R and after I got rid of it and bought a ZX10R I needed to pack paracetamol and ibuprofen in my tank bag.
;; the ZZR would just flatten the hump at the same speed;;
Mrs. Fireblade refuses to travel further than a few miles on the Blade. We did loads of rallies where I went and set up the tent, then collected her from the nearest station.I omitted that Mrs. Blackblade was also on the back for that trip to Skye.
The lack of luggage carrying capacity for 2 up was one of the factors in getting a GS.
