Adventure Rider UK Rally.. 21/22 April. Who's going?

where the meeting point is and time for the sunday off road ride. I'm looking at coming over first thing on sunday.:thumb

Take a look at page 1 of the original thread on the other site is best.
But we are aiming for 10am sharp leaving from the Rhayader leisure centre car park or cattle market car park which is virtually same place dependent on parking restrictions, other events etc. If you cant find anyone HQ is the campsite just on up the A470 from the Leisure Centre, Wyeside Camping.

Everyone, Ive had to just plump for 10am as folks have started asking.

sooooooo
if the weather stays this good I might even camp :thumb :thumb

how many are going (ish)

how many want a road route ??

the cafe by the clock tower is good for breakfast

I shall log in all my waypoints ready for saturday :thumb :thumb

if no one wants to do a road ride I will probably do the strata as I'm still nursing a rather swollen and bruised hip :tears :tears :tears , if someone wants to go on the shorter offroad or is a complete novice (like me) then I can look after them

and finally, see you for a :beerjug: on Fri or Sat, I'm looking forward to getting out on the bike

can't wait

Rob

hi

if you come in on the 44 then turn right at the clock tower the camp site is up there about 400 yards on the left

someone correct me if I'm wrong :thumb

road route is now in the sat nav !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many going...hard to say. Could be disappointed (well not really, but you know what I mean) could be surprised. I havent kept track of this thread and lost track of the other one :augie

Campsite is on A470 leaving Rhayader not far after leisure centre (where I suggest we meet for the riding per se as there's not so much space by clock tower unless there are few of us). It come's up quick as its more a 'camping municipal' rather than rural. So if you are coming in form south its straight on, from east its right at tower.....think!

Its likely I will go to place by clock tower for brekkie tho :thumb

What front and rear suspension settings (Ive got standard shocks on a 12) do you guys use for these kind of tracks? Simpleton terms please :D

When trail riding I have the
Front preload setting 6 (of 9)
Rear preload 8 turns back from max
Rear damping 1 turn back from max

Arriving..

So when are people planning to arrive at the campsite. I have the day free so will be heading down at a lesurely pace and taking in a few roads, if I can get up and packed in a smartish fashion. Looking to get to the campsite about 4ish or so for a lesurely setup. Really looking forward to the weekend now.

Thanks to all who got this together - and for Pumpy doing a good job as run leader.

Luckily the only puncture I got was in my airbed. so a good thing we didn;t take it white water rafting as some suggested.

I had a ball - will be back for more.

Good news...

GPS glad you made it home safe.. Strata florida looked fun on sunday.

Glad the brake issue was just that hand guard rubbing on the leaver after the drop and nothing more serious. The GSA certainly looked good and went well.

I am just off to haul the GS down for a tyre repair at buckley tyres..lol.. then got to get the bottom of the vibration in 4th.. .. oh well.

Pumpy has just managed to shuv Possu off the PC and posted some piccies..
