Could anyone advise me whether there is any special fitting requirements to fit the adventure screen to a standard gs ?

Do I need to buy the screen and a fitting kit ? And where would members recommend I purchase ?

The GSA screen and bar kit is definitely the way to go on the GS, BUT I bought the lot(screen and bar) from BMW and it is a tad expensive. If you keep an eye on this forum FSS there are some come up. Other than that ebay.:nenau

Screen brace bars - low cost option

I had been manufacture fitting kits for the adventure screen.

My brace bars are made of steel, allowing the use of the original / standard lower fittings. Tried and tested, with lots of happy users.

I've not made up any full kits since the summer, but I know I have one brace bar left over somewhere - you'd need to buy some grommets and spacers from motorworks (or similar)

The bar on its own would be £65 + postage. The spacers will cost you about £10 - and then you are ready to fit the screen.

If you price up the OE BMW parts, you'll see this is a saving in the £100's !

I bought one of Babble's screen braces. Good piece of kit, no problems and stronger than OE. Nice one mate :thumby:
I used all the standard GS fittings, just need extra grommets and top hat spacers for brace.
