ADVENTURE SEAT HEIGHT?

Done a 400 mile day with no problems.

Gel padded so comfort is good.

Rider sits in a defined hollow so it does keep you very much to the front.
Rear is much wider with a lot more padding so it should be good for pillion but I've got no opinion on that as the good lady hates bikes!.

Hardest thing with all this being able to try before you buy ..... what is right for me might not work for someone else.

Wunderlich website gives an idea of the seat from some average photos.

I will take some pictures on Saturday so you can get a better idea and PM them.

Cheers

Cam.

thanks for all your help on this cam, am seriously considering this seat and your feedback is well helpful. Will look forward to the pic,s

thanks.

the seat requires different front locating brackets so it's not a straight swap.

Pictured the underside to show build "quality". Covering is glued to seat pan but 6 months and no problems. Will see how it goes through winter.

Twodogs,

Hope this helps........ it's a lot of money but to me it made a huge difference in being able to enjoy the bike..............which I'd just had to pick up..........again ;)

certainly looks well on the bike cam, better than i expected it to and the pillion bit looks well padded ( that,ll please the wife). I think i,me going to have one coz having dropped the bike twice at a standstill over the last 18 month and having to plan my parking quite well in advance, i was starting to think about swopping it, but dont really want to as it,s one amazing bit of kit apart from the hight of the saddle and if it,s sortable i would rather not let it go. fun on a bike !! i,ve never had so much

Thanks for all your help, will keep you posted as to what i think of it when i get it
regards twodogs

I've swopped out my BMW Adventure low seat for a Corbin heated, dog's balls, thingy and won't be going back.

If anyone wants to exchange their standard seat for low seat then let me know. I obviously need to retain a BMW seat for re-selling the bike.

Mine has been used for 6,000 miles only and similar condition required in return. Manchester.

Hi
New to the GS just 7 months and still learning but I find the standard seat great, the step between the rider and pillion seat is a good stop when acellerating, gives me that little bit of security and comfort. The ADV seats are all one piece arent they? also how much different in height and bike weight is the GS to the ADV. next bike might be the ADV.
:)

Viking

the seat is one piece but the acceleration of the bike is not sufficient to move me! Also the seat is shaped so its hard to move around, unless you ride habitually in Lycra or similar;) .

I think the dry weights of the two bikes have to be very similar, but the tank makes it some 10kgs heavier when full and being slightly higher, it also produces a sense of being heavier and needeing more balance at low speeds.

I changed my adv seat for a Bill Mayer one and it is wonderful, but then as 50% or all the iron butt riders use them its not a surprise. There are plenty of otehr aftermarket options as well.

Hi GSers
I am thinking in moving from my GS115o seat to the Adventure one. Can anybody provide me details about this change??
- Confort
- Parts to change
- Where to buy 2nd hand Adv parts

Nice rides

Rollo,

I know it's been a while since this thread was active but since I haven't seen any reply to your offer I was wondering if you still have the low seat for Adventure available for a swap.

Mine is the red/grey one and it's only done 5300 miles.

I'd be very interested if you still have the seat so please PM or email me at [email protected]

Thanks,
Daniel

Board, Greetings from the U.S!

I've looked for the "super-low" seat like Cam has. The only seat I see available on Wunderlich's web site is an "Ego-seat" that looks some taller, and completely different, from Cam's. Another Wunderlich supplier, here in the U.S., show's a low version but, again, it looks nothing like Cam's, and is only 40mm lower than than stock.

This thread is several mos. old...Does anyone know if "Cam's" super-low is still being produced or not?

(5' 10", 190 lbs, and today I almost took a spill while completely stopped at a red light!)

When I try PM'ing Cam, I get the "error" page, maybe something wrong I've done signing in....anyway...thanks for any responses.

Cheers!
