Can anyone help me with advice on how to remove the rear ABS sensor? I have removed the screw holding it in but it seems very solid in the housing.

As I recall, simply remove one M3(??) hex bolt and carefully withdraw the sensor. If necessary, give a small twist to loosen the sensor before pulling.

Don't lose any of the shims - unless you are changing the wheel or hub they will all need to go back when refitting.

It's most likely to be corrosion holding it tight...be careful or you may end up having to get a new one if you damage it...I did on my K1!

Try easing oil or similar, leaving it overnight...
