Morning all. Worked out a load of routes for my forthcoming Euro trip on Mapsource and downloaded them to my 2610. Was checking the street level detail and noticed that Amsterdam area where my ferry arrives was base map only. I never shaded and downloaded those areas for my last trip as I wasn't going that far north. Deleted (by mistake) all of my maps so reloaded from V9 all of the countries I needed for the trip including holland. Now when I check the routes on the 2610 the 2 routes that start off and arrive in Amsterdam area give this message "This route does not match the available maps!" " It will not follow the roads precisely. Do you want to re calculate it?" When I re calculate the pointer seems to start running off into the North sea! All the other routes in France and Germany have all been showing fine. any ideas as to why this has happened and how I can fix it. Have re imported the routes to the Garmin twice but smame error message appears

Help !

Sounds like you've calculated the routes in a different mapping version to that on the GPS. Or the maps in the GPS don't reflect those on the PC.

I checked all that. Maps that were downloaded were V9 from my laptop and the routes were created on the very same V9 maps.
I might just let the garmin create its own route when I get off the ferry. Should in theory take me the same roads if I set it's priorities to the same as mapsource. ie. favour major roads and quickest times.
Most confusing.

Are you sure that the correct map tiles are loaded? If not you might be trying to navigate off the basemap. If you zoom out I think you should be able to see the tile outlines as grey lines. Is your CF card full, maybe trying to fit too much onto it, how big is it?

If you were having the problem across the board I would say it was an unlock issue but if your routes elsewhere are working then that's not the case.
