ADVICE ON CHIP INSTALATION PLEASE

Big Lad

Glad it worked out well for you.
I have exactly the same set-up as you. 1994 1100GS, Remus Revolution end can, K&N filter, no cat. Until last week, I was running with the baffle installed. Took it out - no real difference in power - just a deeper note from the exhaust.
I have experimented with different 'maps' and found stage 3 to be the best.
You should feel a big difference when the throttle is wide open and the revs are heading towards 5000 rpm. Big kick in the pants there.
Enjoy.

Glad to be of help. Will never say no to a pint

Just got back from a half hour ride. What a difference !. NO surging at all, backfires completely gone and the low down throttle response is smoother and far less snatchy. Very pleased.

If anyone wants the cheapo chip I bought off ebay for £40, you can have it for £20. It felt almost identical to the original chip's fueling and didn't cure the backfires.

Excellent result Simon.
Glad it all worked out for you.
Looking forward to that pint or 6 ;)

Take it easy

Sorry about the confusion Richie. I got 'cross threaded'. I originally bought a chip on ebay for £40, which worked ok, but no different to the BM chip. I then fitted a BB chip, which totally transformed the low speed throttle response etc etc. If your pipe backfires, then this could be the answer. Cheers
