Advice on Crash Bars Please

I am looking to take my F650GS for a bit of off roading this year and its highly likely that i'll drop it at some point.
With this in mind I am looking to get some crash bars to try to save money on possible repairs and replacements.
I have looked in the Touratech Catalogue but the ones in there look a bit weedy.
I would be grateful for any advice and some pics of bars on bikes if poss.

you could have a look at the heppco becker ones just have a look on the motobins webste

hi mike plenty of info on the f650 site.
some people rave that the bmw ones are good for the lower engine sump area.
there ha dbeen some reported breakage of ttech ones,
i have these fitted but guess i havent tried them out enough
there is also wunderlich ,similar to the touratech ones.
