Advice on visit to Ireland

The delightful Claire and I will be paying a visit to the Emerald Isle this year (driving not riding) for (say) 10 days.
Wondered if you had any recommendations of places worth visiting.
We'll probably get the ferry in to Larne then head south (I've done a fair bit of the North previously).

I'm thinking of a clockwise circuit mainly following the coastline.
So far I have on our itinerary
Dublin
Wexford
Waterford
Cork
Beara
Ring of Kerry
Dingle

Any and all suggestions gratefully received.
We're more interested in scenery than tourist attractions but we do like castles.
Also any recommendations for accom. would be appreciated.
Cheers peeps.
Enjoy the food :D

I'd avoid Dublin and the motorway tolls by taking the N52 from junction 14 on our M1. The N52 will take you across to Nenagh and then on to Limerick and Killarney. You can do the Ring, Beara, West Cork. Then Waterford and Wexford if you have the time. Think in terms of not be able to better a 40 mph average when planning any routes, and less than that in the tourist traps.

We did Kinsale to Galway a couple of years back via every peninsula and had a fantastic time. Kinsale is a lovely place to stop so I can highly recommend that rather than Cork.

The Smugglers Inn in Waterville was also really nice with a fantastic restaurant. Crottys in Kilrush was interesting as you're staying at the pub. Handy!

I've got GPX routes somewhere if you'd like them?

Overall it's absolutely stunning and a fantastic trip. The Connor pass is apparently fantastic when the vis is greater than 50 metres which is what we got... :(

The food in Crottys is top notch too!!

Many thanks for all the suggestions. We are going in April so will hopefully avoid the worst of the tourist traffic.

Could be a bit busier than you expect it to be, kiddies on extended holidays here at that time. They are off school from Wednesday 16th March due to St Patrick's Day and for the next 2 and a half weeks for Easter and the Centenary Easter Rising Commemorations. Easter Monday 28th March is expected to be a huge day of commemoration. Most official activities will take place in and around the Dublin area but are by no means confined to it.
Expect a lot of activities in March and April as Easter as you know can fall within these months so expect a lot more tourists about.
