Advice on where to buy/fit tyres?

I need a new rear tyre and need advice on best place to buy. I plan to buy a Tourance.

More important - I need advice on where to have it fitted. I live in Harpenden, Herts. I don't want to pay dealer prices but it would need to be someone with experience in fitting tyres to GS's with tyre pressure sensors.

Can anyone help?

National tyres at barnsley, they are one of the cheapest i've found and take great care with ya rims. fit balance, by hand if needed.
and quite a nice day out for you from your gaff. last run on your old rubber and the new one will be scrubbed in by the time you get home, perfect.

Buy them off the internet - fit them to the wheels

I don't know who locally would do that for you but Micheldever Tyres in Hampshire offer a ride in ride out service, are reasonably competive on price and have a lot of experience dealing with BMW bikes

Flitwick Motorcycles fitted front and rear Tourances to my 07 GSA today for £214.................................but I don't have pressure sensors so not sure if doing yours would be a problem for them.

Blimey, I had a set of Torance EXP fitted at Woolastons for £234 ... not bad for a BMW dealer?

You can get a pair of Tourances from roundandblack on ebay for about £150. They're in Dunstable, so I guess you could save the £6 delivery and collect them. Alternatively, try stickystuff.co.uk

Steve Grover at motoscot in Caddington will fit them for you for around £30

So £180 for a pair fitted, - how does that sound?

would definitely recommend Steve (Motoscot) in Caddington, nr. Luton. He just supplied and fitted a new Anakee 2 for me and took a nail out of my rear tyre and repaired it proper-like, all for nearly no beans. He's a time-served BuMW mechanic, fully tooled up and certainly knows his stuff. Just gone out on his own.

Ordered a nice new set of Tourances on Friday, arrived parcel force to my UK address on Monday. 153 pounds inc delivery. Hard to beat that. They took a credit card over the phone but you can use PayPal and all the other usual nonsense.
