Just come across this on the net. It appears to be a piece of plastic, similar to a headlight protector, that guards the lower engine casings from all the crap thrown up by the front wheel. Anyone seen one in use, know of a price and a UK supplier?

Thanks

It's from Aeroflow so the distributor should be:

UNITED KINGDOM & EUROPE
Calamander Ltd
Glasdon,
Penyrwrlodd,
Talgarth Powys,
LD3 0HA, UK
Tel:+44 (0)1550 740655
e-mail: [email protected]

Price (on the US Aeroflow-site) is $44.95

I haven't found pics of the bib on the GS.

I was looking for one myself but couldn't find a belgian dealer, please keep us informed of your progress...

I can do it far cheaper!

Piece of plastic from 5l container zip tied to the bash plate and the cross bar of the Adv crash bars. Works a treat and cost nuffin!

For a picture on a GS, go to Google and search for Aeroflow R1150GS engine bib.

Thanks for your replies. The 'cheap' idea wouldn't work due to lack of engine bars. Anyway I have ordered an Aeroflow bib for £42+pp. Will report what it is like when it arrives although I may have to wait for up to a month as it is a special order.

Engine bib now arrived and fitted. Seems expensive for what it is, but if it works!!!!. It is held on with 5 heavy duty velcro patches and protects the front of the engine from above the wishbone. Will need to see how it copes with cowshit (will it stain), flying stones etc. Will the patches survive the engine heat? Time will tell.

Just buy a 'fenda extenda'. I didn't want to drill my front mudguard so I araldited it on. Same colour as the mudguard and completely protects the front of the engine and exhaust from road crap.

If the guard flexes it will crack off. be warned as Araldite being and Epoxy adhesive rather than a cement..will not bond the actual materials together.

Of course, Real Men don't worry about this namby-pamby stuff...

Already got a fenda extenda on. Stops some of the crud, but after a decent ride in the Dales the engine is always covered in baked, staining smelly stuff. Hence the bib. Lets see how it works before we condemn it.
