Can anybody advise if they have ridden behind an Aeroflow screen ideally with the lower leg shields as well. Their website reads good but it seems that their only European distributor is in France. That in itself is not a major problem but it would be interesting to talk to an experienced user prior to taking the next step. I am 6 1" 1/2" and get a fair bit of buffeting and noise with the standard BM set-up. Bike is an 07 R1200GS
Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi
Have ridden with an Aeroflow. Came with my 1150. Didn't think the wind protection was that great - until I rode with a standard screen. Then realised how much wind/rain it protects you from - particularly wind blast on your arms and shoulders at m/way speeds. Took mine off for the summer and wished I'd bothered to refit it for the winter. Only downside is they make the bike look hideous IMHO.

Bear in mind they recommend diffrent sizes depending on your height.

Hope this helps.

Phil

Hello, I have an 06 gs1200 with aeroflow and leg gaurds. I use the leg gaurds when temps are below 30 F. they work great. On/ off in seconds. :thumb

Thanks for the reply Fooey. Would it be possible for you to post a picture of your Aeroflow set-up screen and leg guards. The Aeroflow website info is very poor considering that a screen etc is a critical purchase. I like the fact that the leg guards can easily be removed for good weather.

I've had one on for a couple of years, would swap back (until I sell the bike that is), but am considering going for a taller screen blade as I find the standard on a touch short and therefore noisy, I'm about 6' 1" too, I reckon about 2" extra should cut down the noise a lot. I don't have leg shields, but weather protection is great, but can make it a little more tricky in high winds, especially with TT panniers fitted.

Aeroflow Screens etc

Thanks for the reply Sethmop, do you ever get down to Fife, failing that and not asking your address but roughly how far are you from the East of Fife. I would like a look at your set up if possible

Bet they're working superb by function thanks to their huge size, but their looks...

Hi Arnold, I will try to post pic when I get home later today. By the way, wind buffeting is much better than stock screen, almost to good in hot summer weather. I like the noise reduction over stock also. I am 6'tall and bought the "tall model" it works well.

I'm on the north coast, near John o'Groats, I do come past that way on occasions, depends on the weather as to whether I use the bike for the bike show in march, other than that I'm occasionally at BMW club events, shiftwork permitting.

Aeroflow Screens etc

Well Sethmopp if your screen set up is ok for your part of the Uk it certainly should be fine for me. Thanks for the reply, add a note to this if you are planning to come down for the bike show, I could easily meet you at Perth or the Bridge. I have moved to this bike after an old R100RT and while the bike itself is superb I just feel if I could fettle it to get some better weather protection it would be spot-on, as I take badly with the buffeting after the RT. (and for the detractors no I don't feel I should have bought a new Rt)

Thanks

Thanks for the two last posts, now I have a much better idea of the set up.
Looking at the last posting top left picture is that a screen within a screen. the whole set up looks good anyhow and seems to be exactly what I am looking for, I can well imagine that these leg guards are going to take most of the blast of my knees, also am I correct in thinking that you folks both have the tall options? Again thanks for going to the trouble of posting these pix it is very much appreciated:clap
