Aerostich Boots

These are the favoured boot on Advrider......everyone seems to have them (a quick search over there will turn up tonnes of info on the equipment page thing)

IIRC, the're exclusively made for Aerostich by Sidi :nenau

They look very similar to Sidi Courier boots.

Nice strong looking boot that .bet they would resist abrasion crushing and SHARP objects really well!!!!

:D :D

Yep, like these but not quite so flash. Just bought mine and got all nervous when I first tried them as those metal caps mean NO grip on tip-toe:eek:
Seeing the aerostitch has just given me the confidence to rip-em off as the sole design is the same and if they're not needed on those........:thumb

Those bits on the front are for scoring car doors, and sparking off the tarmac...do not under any circumstances take them off or you won't be able to do either ;)

PS they're available for about £2.99 from pretty much any mx shop.....and you can get titanium ones for bigger sparks :D

I have had a pair of the Combat Touring Boots for the last couple of years. Bought them in as brand new condition second hand off a mate who couldn't face breaking them in, still not sure if they broke me in or if I broke them in. They are made by Sidi in Italy for Aerostitch. They are extremely well made of very tough thick leather. I have also had a pair of Sidi couriers and think the C.T.B. are a more sturdy harder wearing item and are waterproof to a certain degree if well waxed, they also take a good shine when buffed up. Down side (my mate says) is that on the second week of constant 400 mile days they start to smell a bit but that's probably me more than the boots. I tend to use these in rotation with a pair of Daytona EVO Sports GTX, these I think offer far greater support and protection with top notch waterproofing, and are the boot I would buy again next time but the looks aren't very "GS"

Took the toe-caps off last night and went for a spin today - I'm now a happy bunny (now that I've shifted the gear lever around a few splines too).:thumb
Not sure if they're waterproof yet, even with the membrane (which it doesn't say the aerostitch have?)

The name SIDI on the soles might be a hint:mmmm.

I like the look of the all black aerostitch but the SIDI boots seem to have more supports, ankle and top of the foot(gear selector area)?

Whats the price difference?

D

So having sidi on the sole means they are the same . And then you post they aren't .

hence my original question  Which you've answered by having a guess

....Anyone got or seen the new Puma range of boots?

I realise they might be a tad trendy for you's oldies???:bounce1 :bounce1

Well i checked and compared the photos of both boots. While the Sidi are more glamouros and the Aerostitch cooler they both have the same soles with the Sidi logo.

I can only assume as i do not work for either that Sidi make a boot for aerostitch. But they are not the same boot if one wants to be picky, just similar made by the same manufacturer.:thumb

So, how much are they? Sidi and Aerostitch? And when are you going to buy a pair and show us the pics?:D
