OK. Going out to Canada in March for a touch of skiing. Want a 'Stich. Know the size/ colour etc. Apparently there is some import tax to pay if i have it sent to Canada, but does anyone know how much import tax/ VAt it would cost me to have one shipped directly to the UK. And no, i dont know anyone in the States i can have it sent to!!

Here hoping for some sensible replies!!

Someone here has posted the exact amount they paid in duty. Unless they are really nice .. it is probably best to search using keywords like aerostich and duty

Got mine sent through just before Christmas. From memory the suit itself came in around £400 with an extra badge sewn on. I had to pay nearly £100 in vat, import duty, and parcel forces handling charge. If you can pick it up in the USA do so, it wasn't an option for me but what with the good exchange rate I still got it substantially cheaper than it would have been a few years ago. Hope this helps.

I'll make you a deal. Have the suit sent to my house in Providence, RI. Bring a used cask with you. Yes, that's right a cask, preferably, a pin, but, I'd take a firkin, and, I'll send the suit to you in Canada, clearly marked USED on the box. what do you think?
