I loved Ducati V2 and I was blown away on the V4 but I just felt there was too much motorcycle and so now have moved to a desert X the 2 of my favourite motorcycles with the old Honda BIL DOR, VF thousand and of course my RC 30, both of which were V4

Nah, daft idea. Hasn't caught on with Suzuki and their effort, GSX-S1000 GX ? The Africa Twin has done pretty well to say they have not chased the 150hp game that so many others have.

I'm surprised that Aprilia haven't used their brilliant V4 in an adventure bike. That would give the Multistrada a run for its money.

But the XR1000 never gave the R1200GS a run for it's money.
Probably better in every department except modern road speeds.

Agreed . The Africa Twin has a fabulous motor, and I’ve not even ridden the latest 1100.
They would need to extract much more midrange from the Hornet motor .
I rode the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX and whilst it’s bloody quick it needs revving . Don’t think it’s been much of a seller . I’d rather the Vstrom 800 as that motor is sublime .
