Got back from work late last night after two weeks on the 'health farm'

Spent a large part of today in the sunshine farkling my bike with some bling

I feel MUCH better now

Only I cannae go anywhere as I am close on 1000 miles and can't get the lux-o-barge serviced before Tuesday

Ah well, I'll just have to steal Fruicakes bike for a wee birl

Only a 1000 miles, and how long have you had it?

I've just put 4600 miles on mine in 20 days!!!! Mind you, I did go to Morocco!!!!

Been there.
Was on holiday in France. It was a beautiful day and we were on a road in the middle of nowhere.
I looked at the odometer and was shocked as the numbers clicked round to 12000 miles
As everyone knows ... If you go past yer service mileage, your engine ... or gearbox blows up. .... sometimes the wheels may even fall off.
I had to stop immediately and phoned the nearest dealer to come and collect us and drive us 400 miles to the dealership. It only cost us 900 euros, but was worth it for the peace of mind.

Frustrating innit? I have 150 miles to my next service and so I keep going on stupid wee rides to judge it right for getting the bike in. Went to KTM roadshow today at Avuss, think there were more Ducati owners than KTM (all queueing for a shot on the Arsey ate). Didn't ride anything but discovered from Mr KTMUK that the 690 Adventure is not imminent .

Take off working time and I've had the bike for 9 days, two of them I was poorly sick.

But I DID enjoy my miles
