Have you costed it all out. I was doing a few sums when the wife wisnae watchin and even my modest wee pile o bike stuff ,includin the bike comes tae a fell lot o pennies i reckon aboot£8000:eek:
Which is a lot considerin the bikes 4 years old and was 3rd hand when i bocht it.But between boots.helmets ,gloves,panniers/top boxes etc it fairly mounts up.
Even tho i,m sure i'll be one o the 'cheaper' bikers on here.
Hae a coont up n see whit its worth.

How much without the bike?
I reckon a few on here will have bikes alone worth more than that.

Second hand Bike £9250 and gear about £1250 = £10500  Must admit ive got newer and more expensive bikes over the years by worked my way up to this level . I buy the bike so it's a nest egg if things go tits up :eek

Accessories plus clothing comes to around 3k, that would be new replacement price. But not including camping gear which would be another £500 i suppose.
But what price is enjoyment--priceless:thumb2

Don't add it all up as you could find you spend more than you earn:blast

I am too scared to go there, with the trip coming up.

But what would be the cost of not having a bike? It's the best stress valve there is.

My thoughts exactly. I don't dare add it all up, I'd end up a gibbering wreck.

You could do the same for anything though. How much have I spent all together on tobacco, breakfast cereal, or probably the most scary one, petrol? No, can't do it, there be dragons.

Totally agree with previous comments- it would be the thing o nicht mares to add everything up. Great to have it all tho. Pretty hard explaininig to the ' Long Haired Colonel' why I had 2 x bikes, 4 x helmets, 3 x suits etc etc. :augie - Wives:(!!!

I think if I added up the purchase of 2 bikes in 2 years, all the gear and the holidays associated with the bikes, the petrol, insurance and lord knows what else, it must have passed £25,000 easily.....and you know what I would rather have spent it that way than high class hookers and the finest columbian.....:D

I was doing the calculations before I bought my GSA in April, along with extras and clothing etc. My wife saw the total figure. The only way I could calm her down was to show her the list price for a Goldwing which she would have liked me to buy.

At £18,000 is was slightly more than my buying spree at Motorrad East.
