hi guys.i thought id ask the font of all wisdom?thats you lot.whats the best way to clean the engine caseings and drive shaft caseing on a airhead?any perticular chemicals or cleaners?

Rob, Re: that Ali cleaner dtuff you usae, can you give me the name of it again please! i tried several paint shop suppliers here int Norf Wales and
no takers and no body seems to be bothered about Ali cleaning stuff.
They all tell me to use petrol and thinner mixed together.

It took me forever to come up wey this .
Its a Mix of T/Cut , commercial vehicle alloy wheel cleaner , and a Aluminium
oxide dust to great effect.

some of us do clean our bikes you know? ive had a busy year rideing the gs so i thought i'd give it a winter clean. ive had a very good year traveling about. france/ belgium/germany/luxenburg.a lot of camping in good old blyty as well as wales three times.alot of ride outs and a few rallys.so i think [pdidy thats its name] deserves a good clean.no rallys now till the dragon in feb.the first of the year.thanks for the advice.ill try some of them.

petrol (risky), paraffin, degreaser, washing powder in hot water, lashings of elbow grease and it will be almost like new
