I've just taken delivery of a pair of these Airhawk 2 seat pad jobby, thingies. I bought the medium cruiser rider & small pillion pads. I cannot sing the praises highly enough of wunderlich-sporttouring (SportTouring by Woody's, Mid Glamorgan) for the advice & properly quick delivery of them (as he didnt have them in stock at the time, managed to get them to us by the Saturday after only speaking to him on Wednesday, ready for our long Sunday ride!).
These things are terrific. I was a little sceptical, with the 'double your ride-time guaranteed' claims, but they really do! Took 2 goes at lowering the pressure in both seat pads to get them right, as it's important to have as little air as possible in them, but as soon as I got them to our liking, it was a revelation. Put it this way, my wife has never done a 500 mile day on the back before. In fact, her previous furthest was approx 170 miles! We got home and didn't feel any ill effects whatsoever. I thought I'd wait and see how we felt the next morning, but we both got up with no aches/pains or anything. Almost like we'd not done the journey!
We're off to Misano in September for the MotoGP (1200 miles each way), and haven't given ourselves too long for the journey, so this product is going to be absolutely ideal. We're also going to Valencia in November....these things are going to get some use in the next few months.
I stated above about the praise I'd like to give to the outlet I bought them from, but it was also a good price too. £150 for both, with Saturday delivery. I appreciate you can probably get one/both from here in the classifieds, but I can't believe anyone actually sells them on!
Anyway, just thought I'd give my impressions....hope you don't mind
