Anyone had experience of these?

I still am not happy with my seat, and thought these might be worth a shot. I see they were used by "The Long Way Round" and Kevin & Julia Sanders on their record-breaking trips, so they must be good, surely?

Ive got one on order.. so you'll have to wait a bit for an opinion..

However I ordered mine direct from Raven Feather Enterprises in the US of A, cost is £98.60 delivered, with postal insurance included.. compare that to Bykerbitz who want £149.99 + p&p.

:(

I've got one on my 1150GS. Best thing I ever bought for the bike. With the stock seat, I can manage perhaps 4 hours of continuous riding. With the Airhawk, I've done 14 hour trips, stopping only for petrol. Truth is, I could have gone even longer, but 14 hours was all it took to arrive at my destination. The downside is that it adds about an inch to your seat height, so if you've got short legs, it may not work for you. It also moves around a great deal beneath you, so its not desireable for any type of riding other than very long boring highway trips.

Cheers guys,

I'm gonna order one from Bykebitz as they offer a return service if not happy with it, and the chap I spoke to was very helpful. Do we know if the "Large Cruiser" (18" x 14") or "Medium" (new size, 14" x 14") would best suit a 12GS? I've measured and it seems that a 16" x 14" would be perfect! I guess the large one may be better given my tendency to slip forwards.

I'm fairly tall (6'2") so not too worried about a slightly higher seat.

"Large Cruiser" is the size you need for the GS. Do yourself a favor and sew a strap on it long enough to slip underneath the seat. That will prevent the Airhawk from sliding around too much, or falling off the bike entirely. Be sure not to over-inflate it. People have generally found that putting just enough air in to lift your bum off the seat is best for long range comfort.

Good! That's what I ordered. UPS tried to deliver today, but unfortunately no-one was home to receive it
