My mine has gone blank on this one, which is not unusual these days,

a few questions for you experts

1). Are the mono gearboxes, (R80G/S and R80ST, R80), the same as the paralever GS etc gearboxes.

2). Can you fit a mono gearbox to a paralever and vica versa

3). Can the mono gearbox be fitted to the twin shock or mono /7 series Bikes.

I am sure that our "esteemed" moderators will know the answer as they has quite a bit on "spannering" experience on such

Cheers

I know the answer to question 2 is yes as Rob fitted one of Proff's mono boxes to Sids para PD at the Airhead weekend this year.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along shortly just as soon as the teas mashed and the Battenburg sliced :D

Thanks Roger

has the "parcel" arrived yet

all OK?

It is all down to the flywheel, series 7's have a heavy flywheel monos have a light flywheel. So if you want to change gearboxes then all you need is one from an engine with the same type flywheel.
I am pretty sure a GS, G/S and the road models all share the same 'box if they are from comparable years. (except the kickstart, which is pointless to most people)
