Just wondering how many of us are living in Glasgow. I am new here, looking to meet simple by choice airhead riders.
Cheers

Alright Soiled Im out in Campsie (Lennoxtown),got a 84 ST had numerous others but thats my lot at the mo ,anyway what you got and where are yi fae:beerjug

Thanks Big Jets and Black Rooster, I am based in Yorkhill, Glasgow city, I moved recently to Scotland and I am looking forward to meet likeminded people, join local rideouts etc. I have a GS PD here.

Airhead R60/2 for occasional sunny days, very occasional this year, and an oilhead for daily use.

South side.

Nah, folk just slag eachother off and threaten eachother with violence (all from the safety of their own home). I'd be interested in a regular Scottish meet though.

Allright gentlemen, seems that most of you are in in deep hibernation. Where are you brave Scotts, what are you hiding for? I'm far from home from East of Europe, I was hoping to see sparkling biker life here in Scotland which I didn't, so please excuse my pushy attitude I just want to shake you up Scotts of worth and have regular Scottish meets as Pedro suggest. :flag

Some of us are still awake - and actually riding bikes occasionally :augie.

I'm not in Glasgow though, but being on the East side doesn't stop me from visiting Glasgow (I'm English :blast).

I'll keep an eye on this thread and may join you if anything materialises :thumb.

Regards.

Bob.

Soiled is right, it must be time to try and new inject some life into this section. It's deader than a dead thing.

Mind you continuous rain since April apart from the week I was abroad doesn't inspire me.

Both of my bikes were MOTd this week (at BMW Motorrad East - they have a new MOT Tester :thumb).

While the 1150 GSA was in for servicing I put 165 miles on a '60-plate' R1200R. To be honest, my 100GS is a better ride. Nice motor though (not the latest 'twin-cam, 110 BHP' job).

The Glen Cafe at St Mary's Loch was closed :tears

Bob.

The Glen Cafe

Closed as in shut for the day or shut down, gone out of business, another victim of the recession type closed.

I too would be interested in regular meets and ride outs.

I have an 09 1200 Adventure

Bungy, I saw that bike of yours the other day there, have you been keeping it in the sea ?

Just closed for the day I think, I should have got off the bike and read the small notice in the window :blast

Everything there looked normal and there were some other disappointed people around as well (not on bikes).

Falkirk area too. Have had my GS12 for over 4 years now so it looks like a keeper. Very recently acquired a more sporty looking Italian stallion, but he and I fell out today as we came home in a van after parking up on the A85. Bastid!

Lives outside, used everyday, 22,500 miles in less than three years. Not the highest mileage but not kept as a weekend toy. It's my main transport and has to work for its living.

When you take into account that it has been off the road for at least five months during that time for illness, warranty repairs, holidays and snow, that's not bad.

Mind you I didn't buy it because of its showroom looks....
