I'm after a favour. (Well isn't that what forums are for...)

Does anyone who's coming to the Airhead WeeKend have a tool for undoing the tube that runs through the middle of the oil filter? And I don't just mean a big 'koff screw driver because my efforts there have caused the tube to start splitting (I guess the hot air gun wasn't man enough).
What I'm hoping for is something that includes a tube that slips snuggly over the outside and stops it splitting.
Just a shot in the dark. But I thought you're the guys to ask.

I have an old screw driver and a lump hammer.. .of any use?

I've got a Plan B. An engineer friend assured me he can sort it, but he's away this week and I'm getting impatient. Though the pressure's off a bit now, as the R80 was running a bit better tonight.
