Airoh Commander Helmet

Hi;all

i am considering the Airoh. Seems to get reviews and its nice and light, which i need with a dodgy neck.

any thoughts helpful, thank you.

I have one, light comfy, quiet. The only things against are the visor has the tabs to lift it at the front, not the side as I am used to, and the sun visor is stiff to operate.

Note that the BMW GS Pure is essentially the same helmet. I've removed the peak from mine.
I found it positioned so high in comparison with the one on a Tour-X or Shoei Hornet as to be effectively useless.

I have one, rather like it. Sun visor was hard to operate until I realised the lever is at 45 degrees and not an up-and-down. Peak is high so not much use for glaring sun, but it’s very rigid and doesn’t vibrate. I found it pretty tight across the cheeks FYI.

Anyone know how to remove the drop down sun visor on the Airoh Commander?. I've tried pulling each side outward pretty hard but it doesn't want to come out. The instruction leaflet with the helmet just shows a little diagram showing an arrow to ",unlock" & "pull" . Don't know how to unlock anything??.
I want to make the nose clearance larger and also for cleaning it properly.

Have they changed the Peak from the old model? Which is reported as not being very effective. Am interested but would like an effective peak which is good at blocking low sun.

I have the full carbon version. No, the peak hasn't changed. I adjusted mine with the aid of a file, making the slot in the centre longer to allow the peak to tilt down more. Not perfect, but better.
