Have a good looking!!! anyone have one of this??? i will thanks some advices, i thing is a good relation price/quality....

Is it ACU gold approved - some of their others are for only £40 - which can't be too bad. Have to see and feel one to really know though.

Hi am the proud owner of one of these and very pleased with it. if only it came supplied with clear visor!
I bought it primarily for off road as am fed up of hail/rain/sleet in face with normal off road open face helmets and liked idea of a visor that flips right out of the way for off road trails and then flip down for slogging along tarmac bits in between. Much cheaper than arai tourx so not too worried if I fall off and land on it causing scratches (not to mention brain damage!)etc etc.Its comfy and not much different in weight. I wear safety specs for green lanes etc underneath with no problems. a good value lid if only they would supply it with clear visor!.....I did try but importer refused!
hope this helps

That looks very nice indeed- I want one!

This is what MCN had to say about it:

Airoh Tyger Helmet
Price: £99
Available: Now
Reviewed by: Mark Tucker
"For a lid at the cheaper end of the price scale, the Airoh is pretty cool. It caused a bit of a stir in the office when it arrived. It's taken the same philosophy as the Arai Tour-X (off road lid with visor), made it more attractive and packaged it at a fraction of the price. How can you go wrong? Well... Using the lid, unfortunately, demonstrates its budget nature. The peak is more solid than a standard off-road peak, which means that the wind has more of a buffeting effect on it. It's not helped by the minimal cheek budget padding, either. Changing the visor is a pain, too - taking the side pods off is a brutal event. And a lot of wind gets under the chin piece."
Plastic shell, removable and washable liner, removable peak, seatbelt strap fastener, ACU Gold and ECE22.05 approved. Sizes: S-XL. Colours: black/silver/red. Cost: £99. Contact: 0800-389-7041

Hardly a glowing report but Russ seems happy with his

Well, YES the visor is a pain to change....but then how often do you do that???, the cheek padding I found just right...so I guess a lot comes down to trying it on and seeing whether you like it!!! I think its more comfy than my old off road helmet
price was £99...and buffeting is not an issue yet....I use mine as an off road helmet and my bike and I travel (together mostly! )along green lanes at speeds where buffeting is not an issue, dodging branches and other greenery is more critical! I have not tried it with goggles as the visor/safety glasses combo is more practical for me anyway. I bought mine locally after searching google for suppliers!

Got 1 off These

Bought one from FC-Moto.de about a year ago (in Black with black Visor) cost around £100 with P&P took around a week for delivery. Used frequently during late summer on both KTM and GS and performed like a dream. Good fair weather helmet both on and off-road but definately not for colder weather.

Like the look of this one, and cheeper than the tour x, Some UK shops now stocking with clear visor, but only in the silver / red paint scheme.

Going to see if I can try one of these,

my friend bought one, visor tested by optometrist, he said to get rid of it asap, he said the visor is so far out it will impair your vision. Side fittings keeping the visor and lid in place is crappy and broke the first time he tried to dismantle it to clean the visor. It is the helmet with the most wind noise by far. I think this is exactly what they say, you get what you pay for. I will rate it not more than 4/10

I wanted an off-roader style lid for my daily commute as its the only lid that has the room for a pollution mask under the chin bar and an open-face was a no-no.

So I got a HJC, CL-X4 for about £80 instead of £120 RRP (End of season style), but of course you need to to buy goggles for about £30, too.

Comfy, if a bit noisy at speed, but ear-plugs and the fact that I rarely get past 60mph for long on the M4 to London, means its quite manageable.

There appears to be a number of companies out there that do the Motor-X type helmet with a visor.
I remeber reading that Shoi do one but don't bring into europe.
There is the Marushin X-Moto Street fighter (I think) but give it a couple of months and we have the BMW one out as well.

Yo Warthog,
These pollution masks that you use, what ones are you using? Can you see the muck that's being filtered out. I'm just thinking about the muck that can be seen on the throwaway dust guards after use..

Has it met your expectations? I commute daily on the M27, seeing the muck on the Helmet :ymca  and clothing, I sometimes wonder what long term damage I may be doing to my lungs?

What are you using? How often is it replaced? How much?

I went into a cycle shop and bought a pollution mask (respro Techno, I think.), but I have not used it properly yet as I haven't been back to work yet. They advise you change it monthly/6 weekly, but as with all these things, it depends on use. As to whether the muck is visible, the filters are grey carbon filter efforts, so the dirt is not going to be too visible, but a direct new to old comparison should give you an idea. I decided to do this as I could see the colour of my shirt collars on arrival at work, and the gak on my lid. Grey colour: not good.

Only complaint is that with the mask on and the goggles on over the top, it pinches the nose somewhat, but I have shaved some of the google foam lining and this has helped a little. Even with that discomfort, I think its worth it. Riding through nose-to-tail motorway traffic is the worst kind of air pollution concentration on the road IMO.
