Having spent much time and energy trying to source an XR 250 nothing has come up to my expectations apart from stuff that's around £1700-£2000,now whilst I'm not disputing that some of these bikes will achieve this money it seems to me like an awful lot to pay for a 10-13 year old 250 trail bike.

I am now seriously considering CRF 250l with 96mls at a cost of £3,600
from a local Honda dealer.

However I've just come across the AJP which to be honest I'd never heard of

I've seen the AJP pr5 which would apear to suit my needs and wondered if any folks on here had any experience or thoughts on these bikes.

i think theyre fairly strong and reliable as a 200 cc model was used for an overland trip from portugal to south africa with extra fuel tank mounted etc .

sorry no direct experience :thumb

ok for trail riding , but drop money as soon as you buy it . buy the best xr 250 you can find ride it and then sell it for the same money in a years time. when they get to 1500 they dont drop any money. honda not a cheap copy you only buy it and enjoy..

The 'new' AJP 250 which has an 'in house' WC engine is not available yet, but will list at £3850, plus about £100 on the road costs ( depending on dealer). I think I'm going to go for the CRF250L which I tested today and really liked, plus it should hold its value better. Also CRF can be had for £3495 if you look at SKYGODs thread. The Honda is no doubt going to hold its value better too.:)
