Akrapovic Mounting Bracket

I plan to mount my renewed Akrapovic exhaust and I wonder if it is usefull or not to put the furnished grease on the mounting clamp.
I did on the first mount and the exhaust was very dammaged with use... I think that tha grease can keep dirty that can dammage the titan as a sand paper very easily...

What do you think about that?

When I fitted my Akra can I only put the supplied grease on the mounting bracket that fits it to the headers i.e just behing the cat. Stops this from seiziong. Left the can and the frame mount alone. No problems reported - I just use a cloth with WD40 to clean the can.
