Had one of these for a month now. Not impressed how easily grott sticks to the front of it. Any tips on cleaning this exhaust. Its annoying having such a nice bit of kit ruined by fried on grit which I can't remove without scratching the exhaust.
I soak some kitchen roll with either tar remover or brake cleaner and then wrap the end can with the soaked kitchen roll - leave for circa 5-6 minutes, remove and then a spray of autoglym motorcycle cleaner all over and wipe off with a soft cloth.
If you want to add a bit of shine once clean, then a light spray of WD 40 onto a soft cloth and wipe.
If you're in a position to spend some time, remove the complete exhaust + headers. Invest in a high-speed drill, polishing wheel and polishing compound.
If the steel is mirror-smooth, it becomes far, far easier to clean.
Bought a 2nd hand full system for my T Max on E Bay for £300 Looked a bit Ropey when I got it (£750 new ) But some solvol and a polishing wheel for my Black + Decker and it came up as new
Have you fitted a fender extender and a crud catcher? they will cut down how much rubbish is thrown onto you exhaust in the first place, so they will be far easier to clean.
S100DOC cleaner is great for the whole bike, but don`t leave it on too long.
