Can anyone recommend me an alarm engineer in the west mids. We had a power cut the other day and our system is now showing a 'System Voltage Problem'. (F3 whatever that is)

The alarm still functions fine its just bloody annoying. Its an old Castle Care Tech System

Cheers

Address NOT given haha..

If it's old stick a multimeter on the battery to see if it's still 12v the required amps. A new battery is about a tenner.

Bet its the battery.....

Backup batteries sit there for ever waiting for the moment they can do what they are supposed to do.......er backup the power supply when 240v drops out.

Problem is they have a shelf life, probably worth changing every couple of years tbh. Virtually every call out involves the phrase "we had a power cut and......." and ends with a new backup battery.

It's an easy DIY swap out....

Alarm Problem

Hi there.

PM me with the full make and model of your system and I'll see if I can dig out an installers/user manual from my archive collection and I'll send them to you as an attachment if you also provide an email address.

Why pay for an engineers call out if the fault can easily be sorted

Alarm problem

If the attachments I sent dont resolve the problem, let me know. If you have access to a multi meter , and consider yourself competent working with electrics, I will send you a few DIY tests to try and establish what the fault is and how to rectify it...if possible.
