I have a 2008 F800GS that has the factory-fitted alarm. I've noticed recently that if I set the alarm and leave the bike for three or four days, the alarm seems to disengage itself (no flashing light in the instrument console).

The bike's battery is well charged.

Any ideas why it might be doing this, or how I can stop it doing it?

Thanks,

Paul

I think you'll find it's probably supposed to, to conserve battery power.

The demobiliser will still be working, and possibly the siren ....I used to have a Datatool 3 and on that it was called 'sleep mode'...ISTR I had to use the key in the ignition to 'wake it' then use fob to de-arm it.

The simple answer is RTFM :thumb2

* Translation: I would have read the f...ing manual if I had the f...ing manual :-P

As ever ,search is your friend, there will be a PDF version of the manual on here (somewhere!)

I presume it's similar to the alarm on my 1200 which will switch off the LED after a day or so, as Fanum says, to conserve the battery.
The alarm will switch off, but the immobiliser will remain active if battery power gets too low.
