I am going to the Alhambra palace in May.

Anyone know of a spot to park the bike (4 bikes) or is it a matter of just turning up and there is plenty of room.

There's a reasonable-sized carpark just outside the entrance, but I don't remember any specific bike bays. We just parked in a regular car bay.

Park under the trees for shade and a handy place to lock up to!:thumb2

No problem parking the bikes in a corner somewhere up by the main entrance :)

Also, worth buying your tickets in advance (even the day before) - you can do that on line IIRC.

PS May is the perfect time to go, not tooooo busy and not toooooo hot :thumb2

PPS See if you can time it with the Crucos de Mayo - street parties and general fun to be had until the wee small hours!

I'd still want to get there really early:)

In the early evening try and find, I think St. Marks Square:confused:, which gives a great view of the sun setting on the Alhambra, perfect with a bottle of Rioja:)

Plenty of room but the car parks are quite large and aren't patrolled. Make sure everything is locked on as it is pretty obvious unless you have the attention span of a goldfish that you will be gone a while.

Last time we were there there had been a few robberies from hire cars.

Thanks

We are actually staying near to Malaga so it will be a day trip therefore not much luggage outside the panniers.

book in advance

Hi

We had to wait for 2 days to get a ticket to view the palace. You can see the grounds but the palace is the major event and there is s strict limit on numbers. You can book on line and will be allocated a time to enter the palace....it is worth it, only the Taj Mahal is (in my opinion) is a more impressive display of craftsmanship.

Enjoy the trip
