New toy delivered a couple of weeks ago.
690 Part Exed against a new 500 EXC.
My original 530 was part exed against the 690 as I thought this this would be the best compromise. Better all round usage and still not bad off road.
As it transpires, it (690) didn’t really get any use at all here in the UK, and was heavy off road, so had another change of heart. If it was only going to get used abroad in the mountains, then better go for something that handles the terrain with ease and was a lot easier to pick up.
A few additions to get it ready for action:-
Uprated rear spring
Uprated fork springs
Larger tank (13l)
Metal bash plate
Case saver
Coyote saddlebag heat shields
GPS
So far it has had its first hour service and will do another at 3 hours ready for full power usage.
