It's got a competition red frame silly billy!

Well folk have been shouting long enough for an updated AT and if the photo above is anything to go by, Honda have been listening....looks great and like an AT should they've avoided a trendy beak but gone for awful looking plastic 'shoulders'.

I like it :eek
Vara
it looks like a varedero (ish)
It is a Vara with upside down forks

It is a Varadero, looks good though
Agreed

looks great, brilliant colour scheme would have preferred shaft and single sider but hey ho.

one thing you can be sure of it won't go wrong (more or less any way )

:clap:clap
Boys I am just trying out multi quote, the photo is a Vara. I do like mine but you can't beat an 11hundred guvner

i was talking to someone in the trade a few weeks ago. He told me they were launching a parallel twin 800 AT.

After reading this I checked with him again....its now a 1000cc. But its not going to be until next Spring, unless there is going to be a surprise...

Be worth a look anyway as long as honda shave the few pounds off. Its their big achilles heel.

He's right there's a few new offroad Honda's on the way all based on someof the newer motors tht Honda have put in there bikes

I don't think it will look anything like either of the pix above. One's a blinged up Varadero and the other is an MCN Photoshop mock up.

Honda should base it on an NXR750 which was the foundation for the XRV's only much better looking and focused. Honda are very late to the game though - if you want touring ability and RTW luggage capability BMW have it sewn up, dirt is covered by KTM and fast road by Ducati. Having owned 3 x XRV's - RD03, RD04 and RD07a I'd be interested in having a look but it's going to have to be very very good.

Lets hope Honda do a better job than Suzuki have done of the new vstrom. The new vstrom is under equipped and over priced. Oh and its ugly as well lol.

Yep hope it does look like the mcn computer mock up , could be tempted to cancel my new gsa order

I though the new AT was going to be a 1200

An adventure bike with usd forks... That's recipe for knackered fork seals on your first dirt ride if ever I saw one.

Seems to me is just another road going traillie tourer, shame really I love the old 750 AT would have bought one rather than the gs but is bonkers to pay the same money for some thing older and slower of its type one and only daily ride.

I really like the MCN mock up, and being honda the build quality will probably be better than the gs, but that above just looks like a varadero with a paint job.

When was the last great bike Honda made? Seems to me they are living on reputations and have not produced anything vaguely interesting for years.

I spoke to a guy in Scotland, last week who had got a Cross Tourer DCT & was very pleased with it

He had had 4 GS's previously & tried the new WC GS for a couple of days but chose the Cross Tourer instead

It did look very nice & more quality finish than the new WC GS

After numerous BMWs over the years, starting with an R60 with Earles forks (yes wish I still had it) I have switched to the Crosstourer DCT and am very happy with it. Along with an NC700S DCT. Now, if BMW produced the K1600 with a DCT box I could be tempted back!

It may have a nice finish and may be a good bike but it's one of the dullest bikes out there at the moment. The last great bike Honda produced was the Fireblade and since then, everything may have been well nailed together but lacks any kind of soul or charisma......in my opinion of course:thumb2
