Hi guys,

I'm going to Spain mid July, together with my brother in law, both families and two bikes on a trailer: my R80G/S and his XT660R. We want to ride some trails over there, from our "base" in L'Escala.

We're looking for unpaved roads, gravel mountain passes, stuff like that. So I'm after information: tracklogs preferably, maps, other info... for such routes.

All tips are greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Michel

L'Escala

We have an apartment in L'Escala and have often taken the bike there. There is a great track over to L'Estartit which is good for the bikes. Many of the tracks are patroled by rangers but we have never had any problems.

Check out Bar Jo Jo in the old town near the harbour. Jo is 80 years old and a fantastic host. Kids welcome although she doesn't open until 10.00pm.

Have a look in Chz le Bruxelois in Reills great hosts used to be rock bar but more family bar now and of course they are belgian. They have the weirdest turtle in a tank.

Most of the smaller roads in the area are great for biking even in July August when every where is pretty busy.

L'Escala

Forgot to say we will be there 14th to 20th July minus the bike. Hope to see you there we are in brussels bar most days and Jo's most evenings.

Thanks for the tips Ally.

Make sure you stop me, if you see a grey R80G/S :)

Cheers,
Michel
