I had a New Year wi' a difference.

I had my last drink at 0040 on New Year's morning. I'd had a few afore that mind you.

At half past the bells we walked roond tae my sister's tae wish her a HNY and my Bro In Law was getting carted off to hospital with a suspected heart attack.

He's stable now but is getting kept in until Monday at the earliest.

Bit o' a downer for all concerned (especially him).

Last night (New Year's Day), I was in bed at 9 o'clock watching a DVD. :(

Think I might hae a dram the night :augie :beerjug:

Sorry to hear about G. Ronnie  He looked so healthy back in September, that is shocking. Please give my regards to him and your Sister and the rest of the Clan when your speaking to them.

I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Hope 2009 turns out to be the best year yet for us all on UKGSer.

Gutes Neues Jahr :beerjug:

Thanks Deano. I'll pass that on.

He had bad chest pains and a numb arm during a party on Auld Year's night but being a stubborn so-n-so, he refused to seek medical help. It got progressively worse until he had no choice. Hopefully, it's nothing serious.

So sorry to hear about your Brother in Law.
This hogmany there seem to be several people I know who have been taken ill infact the numbers are scarey.
We medivaced one lad last week who spent his New Year in Hospital due to an unknown illness where his leg has swelled up and he is in so much pain, another of the guys wives called 3 days ago to say she found him in his kitchen unconcious and it turns out he's had a stroke, my Mother in Law who has recently been diagnosed with Pancriatic Cancer and was given approx 1 year about 4 weeks ago has she spent New Year in Hospital as she has deteriated so quickly and my Sisters daughter has just got out of Hospital after a huge asthma attack where se was on a ventilator for 5 days:eek: We never know whats round the corner.

Anyway, I wish your Bro a speedy recovery, put your feet up and have a few drams. All the best to yourself and Christine for 2009:beerjug:
