Alloy wheels please!!

I have R1150GS 2002 model and would love to put some alloy wheels on the old girl. The problem I have is that I don’t know were to get them from, or what type of wheel or the rubber I need.

I have read a few things in the threads, and I would like to take the bike to someone in the morning, come back in the evening pay them the cash and ride off into the sunset. Can this lovely dream of mine become a reality or should I increase my medication, lol.

Any idea’s love to hear’em.

try motoworks...............

should be able to supply the components but probably not fit them

wheels

Hi Skip,I have just put cast wheels on mine and really it is not a hard job.Best place to get them is on the for sale board but you have to be very quick as they soon go.
You can get a kit from Motorworks but they are expensive.
I don't know anyone who does a" ride in -ride out deal" but I am sure someone would give you a hand/advice if you had a go yourself. You only need a socket set, torque wrench and some Tork tools to do the job.
Go for it I am glad I did!!
PS there are some for sale at the moment on the sale board

These seem reasonable as a starting point & only need a rear disc to fit straight onto a GS.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the info mate and by the way I love what you’ve done with your bike. Your actually the person to blame for this wanting of alloy wheels, as it was you and your bike which I saw in Italy/Switzerland tour photo’s that go me thinking. Just a quick note; I would not worry about the fingerprints on your exhaust, as you cannot see them at 30mph.

I did sport, but the problem is that my R1150GS has two wheels, and while your one wheel is sweet, it is only one. I thinks your on the right road with your produce, you just need another one mate.
